My campus life
Hello everyone.Today I‘m glad to be here to give a speech about my fresh experience in China Agriculture University.
First I must say the campus life is really different from what I have experienced in high school. For instance,I used to lean upon my dormitory teacher to wake me up on time. But now I have to set several alarm clocks to make myself could hear them in the morning otherwise I would miss my class. And then even worse there would be nobody remind me
except my teacher! So the differences are everywhere and I could easily find them. The change of life is great and it‘s wonderful:I have more time of my own and the rights to decide how I live.
My campus activities are rich and colorful.Learning English has become a habit to me cause I plan to study abroad in next few years.Playing Guzheng is my favorite activity.I have kept on practising it since I was a little girl and I wish to win more competitions in my campus life.
Our university has the first level equipments and the most experienced teachers, also has the best students(laugh).I consider it to be a honor that I‘ve got a chance to study here and I sincerely hope that we could live wonderful lives in our campus!

To be frank, the university life is not only the period for us to learn the professional knowledge, but also the period for us to develop our comprehensive abilities. If we can make full use of thus period,we wont treat it as a waste of time and we do have learnt something. As a result,we are able to get use to society with active attitude, creating our own value of life and making contribution to our country.
Maybe, one is not able to adapt to the university life for its completely different from the high school life in which we must take at eight classes, not including the morning and evening individual study.Besides, there are always large quantity of school work waiting us to complete. Therefore,we are easy to feel tired even bored. However, when we enter the university, things start to greatly change. We have more free time to learn what we want to,such as taking part in various activities, reading in the library.

In our daily lives,we can find out many bad habits in others and also in ourselves, such as smoking in public, talking loudly while eating and crossing the street without paying attention to the traffic lights, and so on.
There are more and more smoker now. They think of smoking as part of their lives. And often, they even smoke in the hospital or in the carriages where smoking is not allowed definitely, never considering the feelings of others.
I think we shoud prevent them from smoking.because,it will do harm to both themselves and the persons around.
As we know, talking loudly while eating is also a bad habit like smoking.Sometimes,my classmates eat out together. To express their excitement, they would kid each other and then laugh loudly, though some others also having a dinner at the same place have expressed their bitterness and complaint.
In my opinion, having a dinner party can of couse reinforces the friendship among the friends. But it wont be forgoten that we shouldnt lay others pain aside, while enjoying ourselves.
Other than those mentioned above,it sometimes could endanger ourlives crossing the street with a heavy traffic without paying enough attitions on lights. We can often see the scene where many policeman are solving a traffic accident and some persons have been deadlaying on the ground.Thats too sad to see for us.But,it can be prevented before originally!
Facing these bad habits, what can we do?In my opinion,on one hand, itsnecessary to persuade others not to continue their"hobby";and on the other hand,we should set an example to others, and never have a try.

Nowadays, star-worshiping is popular among teenagers, especially many university students.
Why? When it comes to the symptoms of worshiping a star, the main factor I'd like to mention is imitation. With a blind love for their idols, teenagers firmly believe that their choices are the best. As a result, the stars' clothes, hairstyles and hobbies, as well as their behaviors in public, are closely observed or followed, though, to some extent, they may be considered improper or even ridiculous.
In my opinion, having idols is not a bad thing. However, we should make it clear who are the real “heroes”. As far as I am concerned, the real heroes are those who are making the most contributions to our society, such as teachers, doctors and scientists. As students, we should learn from them. Only in this way can we become useful persons in the future.

Blog writing, unknown several years ago, is a common word nowadays. People write about their lives in their blogs on the Internet. Blog writing can give people a lot. First, it is a way to relieve the stress in life by taking things out. Second, friends may look at the blogs, discuss the problems mentions in the blogs, and then provide possible solutions together and see the problems comprehensively. Third, if the people write their blogs in the language they are learning, definitely it is an excellent way to study.
Of course, there are negative points in this new type of writing. On the one hand, people may write about classmates or workmates around them, and these stories may be spread, thus influencing the relationships between people in reality. On the other hand, if people spend too much time and effort on blog writing, maybe they have no chance and spirit to have face-to-face communications. Consequently, their ability to deal with people in life may decrease.
For me, it is an easy thing. The most important is what people write and how people look at their blogs. People write things that they think can be shared, for example, comments on books or movies, feelings for the nature, academic questions. The information can benefit others without privacy being intruded. In the Meantime, blog writing is only one way of communication and will never take the place of face-to-face communications. If thought of this way, blog wiring may be an enjoyable experience to share information and opinions; but we can never neglect the face-to-face contact in real life.

Most of us may have such experiences: when we are far away from the city we live in, we tend to think we know nobody there. But chances are that we may run into one of our old classmates, or friends on the street. At that moment, we would cry out: "What a small world!"
Why is the world getting smaller and smaller? For one thing, modern technology has made various means of transportation more and more advanced. Buses, trains planes, taxis, ships are available in most cities of the world. They carry goods and passengers to and from every corner of the world. For another, with the development of the society, people are contacting with one another more frequently. Everyday we must come across a lot of people known or unknown to us. The more advanced a society is, the more contacts with others we make.
So we draw the conclusion that as long as technology makes progress, the world will be getting smaller and smaller.

Nowadays on the one hand colleges and universities recruit a large number of students every year, on the other hand students will be in a more petitive labor market than before after four years study. But there are still many graduates go home without job.
With more graduates and less job opportunities, students are encouraged to start business on their own when they graduate from university. They can start anything they are interested in, make decisions on their own, and obtain the fruit of their own labor. Only by this way will graduates bee more independent, confident and creative.
However this process is supposed to get the support of government. So the government should provide these students with special policies, and lead them into a right road.

The problem of NEET, once well-known in the UK and Japan, has been brought into public attention now in China. NEET refers to the group of the young who are not currently engaged in education, employment or training. Most of these young people just stay at home or idle about, avoiding employment and relying on their parents.
There are mainly two reasons for this phenomenon. For one thing, with the expansion of university enrollment, an increasing number of college graduates pour into job-hunting market every year. Unfortunately, some of them are not fully prepared and thus bee unemployed the time they graduate. For another, some young people are badly spoilt as the only child of their family, so they psychologically and financially depend on their parents even when they are already grown-ups.
To solve this problem, first, colleges should provide pre-job training courses for the young. Second, parents should cultivate their children the sense of independence. Last but not the least, college students should equip themselves with skills and knowledge so that they will bee petitive when seeking jobs.

University Students’ Pursuit of Famous Brands
“What perfumes are you wearing?” “Aren’t your shoes Nike’s latest release?” “I like the Mickey bag you bought yesterday.” “I hear the Jack & Jones store is on sale this week. Do you wanna come along?” Don’t feel surprised if you hear them coming out of the mouth of college students. It’s quite common to hear and see college students swapping information about the brands they like and the products they use. In fact, discussions about brand names have become one of the college students’ favourite pastimes. They learn about the latest fashion from each other, exchange tips about when and where to get the item, and buy it at their earliest convenience. “Keeping up with the Joneses” is their conviction – “If the Joneses have it, how could I have not?”
About this current mindset of the college students, many people may hasten to show their disapproval. They’ll probably take it to be a reflection of the students’ vanity and superficiality. And they may lecture them on the virtue of being thrifty.
However, I beg to differ. For one thing, name-brand products are usually quality products. As such, they are something beautiful, endurable, and reliable. “The love of beauty is common to all,” goes the proverb; therefore, there’s nothing to blame about the pursuit of famous brands. For the other, college students are old enough to make their own decisions. Likewise, they must abide by the consequences if they make an ill-advised one. If they let their pursuit of brands eat into their budget for other more important issues, they should be able to correct their mistakes and keep everything in moderation. So this becomes no other than a good chance to learn management, isn’t it?

All across the country a great diversity of custom-made classes are mushrooming, in which special training is provided concerning computer skills, arts, sports, and other extracurricular specialties like maths and writing. Among them language crash courses for various tests, such as CET, BEC, TOFEL, IELTS, GRE and so forth, are especially noticeable for its wide range and high attendance rate.
Some consider it advisable to attend such classes while others believe it unnecessary. The former argues that it’s far more effective to command these special skills with the help of an experienced trainer than to work at them on their own. They are convinced that these training classes can make up for what is not taught in school, hence, more competitive edge over their peers. The latter group of people, nonetheless, criticize it as a sheer waste of resources. They warn that the quality of most training courses is questionable, as they are marketed to get money out of our pocket rather than get knowledge into our head.
As far as I am concerned, a little bit of such special training does us no harm, but too much of it can only prove to be counter-productive. Anyhow, the deprived free time can be better invested in recreation at weekends, talking to an old friend, or simply enjoying a long-overdue vacation.

Every year hundreds of thousands of people in China take civil service exams conducted at various levels in the hope of becoming government employees. Among them, college graduates are a fast-growing force that can’t be ignored. The craze for being a civil servant is not limited to liberal arts majors, as it’s also gaining popularity among science and engineering students.
In the final analysis, this growing trend among the youngsters is mainly attributable to two factors – ambitions and comforts. On the one hand, many ambitious college graduates view these exams as a springboard to a higher social status, greater power and prestige, on which many of their other wishes rest. On the other, as being a civil servant generally means a stable income, enviable healthcare and pension programmes, as well as other comforts of life, it’s quite an appealing career option to many people, especially in this age of sluggish world economy.
Personally, the desire to be a government official is beyond reproach, as the nation and the people do need an injection of new blood into the civil service sectors. The fresh-faced college graduates, armed with lofty ideals, new vision, and strong drive, are undoubtedly among the best candidates.

This simple picture represents a situation that every person must face: when approaching a junction, which direction should one choose?
Most viewers can empathize with the sense of hesitation and uncertainty embodied in such an image. Without exception, everyone has to make choices in life, whether they concern school, career, or love. While some choices are simple, one cannot avoid the task of making difficult decisions.
Choices are often directly related to ones happiness. University students, for example, face a hard and crucial decision upon graduating. Many students have difficulty deciding whether to continue studying or begin developing a career. Every individual is different, and one must take the factors of ones personal life into consideration. In addition to an awareness of specific circumstances, however, making the right choice also depends on correct appraisal of oneself.
In order to choose correctly, therefore, one must be both realistic and self aware.Furthermore, once having made a decision, one should seriously accept and pursue the path one has chosen, and strive towards the realization of ones goal with spirit.
For thousands of years, people have accepted challenges in different fields. There are not only physical challenges, but also social and intellectual(聰明的) challenges. Some people risk(冒…險(xiǎn)) their lives in playing sports to see how well they can do. Others try to make and invent(發(fā)明) something to make life easier. They all enjoy challenges.
Why do people enjoy these challenges? There are probably many reasons. One is curiosity. The other is the personal feeling of success, of achievement, and nowadays, for some people, it is a business.
Today, we still have many challengers before us. Medical science faces the challenges of conquering many diseases which still attack human beings. Engineers and planners must build new cities, design and produce new kinds of transportation. Scientists must develop new forms of energy. In short, we live in an age of challenges.

China has the largest population all over the world which makes it difficult to develop economy well. Thinking about Chinas economy development some hold the view that it is necessary for China to implement one child policy. While others think that one child policy does no good to childrens growing up. I am in favor of the latter opinion.
Firstly one child policy will make children feel lonely. It means every couple only has one child. We know clearly that there is not everything children are willing to tell their parents. Growing up with no brother or sister, the child may be easily in mental problem such as autism. In addition, parents with only one child will spoil their child overly. As a consequence the child will be the so called little emperor or little princess. When the child grows up it is difficult for the child to adapt to the world the society
All in all to some extent one child policy will solve the large population problem but from the perspective of long term development of china it does no good. Because we must take the young generations healthy growing up into consideration.

In recent years, extravagance and waste have become increasingly serious in some of the university campus. We can see that papers, bottles and cans are thrown away after use; food is wasted just because of its poor taste; clothes are discarded simply owing to their old fashion. As a consequence, people in mounting numbers put great emphasis on creating a green campus.
There are at least two criteria to distinguish what is green campus. On the one hand, natural resources must be conserved and made full use of, for example, we, as college students, should take the wise use of papers and second-hand textbooks into account. On the other hand, education to build up thrift habits must be promoted by relevant departments and professionals at various levels.
Accordingly, it is necessary for us to take effective steps. For one thing, university authorities should respond with the demand for more rigid conservation of our natural resources, such as water, electricity, and so on. For another, we should enhance the awareness of college students that creating a green campus is of utmost significance to both our society and ourselves.
Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a short essay entitled My View on the “Campus Star” Contest. You should write 120 words following the outline given below.

Today, learning English has become an important part of our life. Since we go to school, we study English almost everyday, but it seems to be such common phenomenon that even though we learn English all the time, it is so hard for most people to speak in English. And the reasons are in the following.
First, when most people learn English, they tend to pay their attention to the grammar, the structure and the ability to read English. Because the purpose of most students learn English is just to get high marks, to pass the exam, such as CET, if they pass the exam, for some students can go to a better college, others can get a high pay job.
Second, most people feel shy and are afraid of making mistakes, so they choose to not to speak English, it is not good for them in the long run, when one is less practicing speaking English, he gets worse and will not get improve.
The purpose of learning English is to make people communicate and understand each other. So don’t be mean to yourself, never be afraid of making mistakes. From the above examples, we should be confident and give up our burden and speak English, never feel shy of your Chinese English.

大學(xué)生優(yōu)秀英語(yǔ)作文 篇25
It's a true story in the summer of 1998 when I was attending a youth conference in L. A... and it feels so good to rewind it in the recollection...
Fog swirls, swallowing the car in front of us. Dense, impenetrable, the wall of white throws back the lights into my eyes. There are four of us in a family van that is creeping along the free way from downtown L. A. to Lancaster. Fog gets even stronger and spreads out like a blanket over the flat land. It's Noah's turn to drive with complaints about the couldn't be lower visibility. But he is whispering so that Eugene and Kikki can sleep still. With eyes slightly closed, I am playing Bob Dylan on the disk, whose rhythm echoes the midnight prays.
Well, we've truly had enough prayers just now. Being off from the annual Vineyard Church International Yough Conference, I find myself deeply buried in the ferment that kids create from all over the world. There are cries and whisper, laughter and tears, bless and pain, confidence and disbelief mixed together, building up a confession of the detours of soul. Bible has recorded all this since centuries ago. It's about God, but it's not all time religion.
A boy from Panama asked me if I eat turkey as an Irish Catholic when pastor David was presenting his speech. I smilingly nodded my head and turned back to Mr. David. He is an authentic English with dark blue pupils, eyes right fixing into his listener while talking. He has truly handsome chins that show up his decency of smile and subtleness of wit.
"There is only one door into heaven and Jesus said, 'I'm the door' (John 10: 9), he quoted, "The way you enter is by expressing faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Faith in Jesus is a commitment to the one whose life becomes your life and his life within you makes you a new person."
There was a dead silence for praying before a burst of weeping broke the ice. A blonde girl threw herself into the arms of the peer beside her, hiding her face. A boy of crew cut on the first row was bending his knees, forehead down to the ground, whispering his regrets. A black girl standing right beside me was shivering her lips with tears hanging up in her eyes, showing a piece of uncertainty. It was truly heart wrenching when more and more kids were peacefully touched by the power of God,harmonizing their words with tears, rather than screaming out their logo as "we love Jesus yes we dm we love Jesus how about you."
It hasn't been long before I am used to the way of praying here in the States. The melancholies in the air soon put me on the way of figuring out the fact lying behind the tears. It numbed me to see the fear and solitude that root deeply in this materially rich world. There is a false security that drastically reshapes the country by drug, crimes, pre marital sex and racism. And it seemed here every tiny little souls were certain victims. Jesus wasn't truly there, but the void became the savior.
It was then that the mother of pastor David rose to sing "Ave Maria".She came up to piano in a gentle pace, took a breath, closed her eyes, and delivered the goods.Well, never have heard the song offered with more feeling, more passion and fervor. She was seventy years old and magnificent. The plain voice flowing in the air was neither scratchy nor dramatic that you might expect from an aging third rate opera singer. This was actually the voice of a grandmother distilling her life into the music to honor what she loved and believed in. when the last lovely note faded and silence held us firm, the "grandma" opened her eyes, smiled at us, and said, "my lord be with you."
That is basically what received from the journey of soul. I told out my sins with once-in-life-time honesty.I may never get a chance to bump into Pastor David and I truly miss this mid aged gentleman of deep sea pupil, although he didn't succeed making me believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin and paid my sin debt in full.
Noah is now too sleepy to drive. It's my turn to stay awake in this misty of midnight Los Angeles. Fog stands still when we are inching along the road of this spiritual trip. I don't know what keeps me in such a wild and peaceful excitement. Well, if the fog doesn't lift, may we at least have some lines and reflectors put down along the road to guide us.

What are College Students Doing on the Internet
Nowadays surfing the Internet has become very popular on campus. I am impressed most that many college students spend too much time playing games and chatting on the Internet.
As is well known, chatting and playing and can do much harm to us if we spend too much time on the virtual world. Firstly, it is an enormous waste of time and we will have little time for our study. Secondly, those who play games or chat day and night will be harmed physically for lack of rest and sleep. Thirdly, our social ties will suffer as a result of the immersion in the virtual world. The last but not the least, it will cost us much money.
In my opinion, we should deal with the Internet carefully. On the one hand, we can get some pleasure and knowledge from the Internet. On the other hand, we shouldn餿 spend too much time, energy and money on the Internet because study is our priority. In conclusion, we should make good and proper use of the Internet.

Social Networking’s Influence on College Students
Social networking has gained huge worldwide popularity in recent years, especially among college students. In China, college student is the main force of social networking, 97.7% of which are fond of instant messaging and 80.7% prefer social networking sites like micro-blog and Q-zone (China Internet Network Information Center, 2013). Moreover, Michigan State University Original Study also finds that compared with Chinese students, American students are more tied to social media (2013). Therefore, nowadays there is a heated debate about advantages and disadvantages about social networking’s influence on college students.
Obviously, there are a number of positive features on social networking. It provides a convenient access to consolidate the relationship with people they know, make friends with strangers without restrictions of space and share happiness and sorrow. What’s more, social networking also has educational functions including reducing college drop-out rates, motivating students to work as a team, sending information about assignments, reminding students about deadline and stimulating students to help each other. (BBC News, 2009). There is no doubt that social networking plays a significant role in eiching students’ college lives.
However, every coin has two sides. There are also many disadvantages on the influence of social networking, among which, “soft addiction” is the most serious problem, distracting students from study. Because of lack of self-restriction, many students would waste plenty of time to search the social networking sites unconsciously, followed by a strong tendency to blame themselves (Li, 2013). This kind of “soft addiction” and distraction was also confirmed by Zhang (2011) who conducted a survey by questionare of 500 Chinese college students from different schools and found that 33% students could not bear one-week life without social networking and 77% students could not help themselves accessing social networking site during classes. Furthermore, a social experiment was performed by Harrisburg University (Pilkington, 2010) to figure out the effect after initiating 'blackout' of all social networking sites. It turned out that some students became more concentrated on
the tutor and making notes instead of having instant messaging running in classes.
As far as I’m concerned, the disadvantages far outweigh the advantages, especially in China, where social networking is used for communication and entertainment and seldom plays the educational role (Li, 2011). The priority of a college student is to study hard instead of being addicted to social networking. Therefore, it is imperative for them to realize their “soft addiction” to social networking and correct their behavior.

Social network: connection and isolation
A social network, said by google, is a social structure made up of a set of social actors (such as individuals or organizations) and a set of the dyadic ties between these actors. With the rapid development of network, we unintentionally found that t QQ, Microblog, etc. have altered the landscape of social interaction, particularly among young people.
What‘s the influence of the social network, connection or isolationDifferent person has different point of view. On the one hand, social networking is a social structure composed of different complex social connections of individuals or groups. Connected by similar values, interests, or certain bonds in reality, social networking links various people together, making the world much smaller. The friends that you can make are another one of the many benefits to social networking online. However, some people hold the opposite view, purporting that social networks are more like mutual isolation networks that detach people from meaningful interactions with one another and make them less human. Even, if individuals cannot learn to interact and develop meaningful relationships outside the narcissistic, soap opera-environment of the social network, then society is in for some major trouble down the road. In general, we should appropriately use social networks, to maximize the use of its advantages. For ourselves, we should improve ourselves quality, enhance the ability to control, have a clear understanding of social network.

Compared with over 100 days' exhausting school life, summer holiday is definitely a golden time for relaxation and entertainment. We can set aside the studies, lock away the textbooks, forget everything about school, and greet the new life with our arms open up. During the two months' loose, we enjoy ourselves thoroughly, sleeping till when the sun is high in the sky, playing computer night and day, watching TV as long as we want to, and traveling around like a tramp. Time rolls by, and it is not until at the end of the holiday that we suddenly find our home assignment remaining blank sheets of paper. Then we go mad, and devote the last days to fulfilling the homework.
The same summer holidays pass year after year, and year after year, we regret when they come to an end. We regret having wasted so much time on recreations, instead of our lessons, and regret having worn away our youth in trifles.
Although it was still the case this summer, I dare say this was the most fruitful holiday I had ever spent. Yes, the summer holiday I enjoyed most is this year's.
At the very beginning of the holiday, our head teacher instructed us to make the most of the summer coming up, and then turn ourselves into bookworms. I took heart on hearing it, and at once mapped out a long list of hundreds of tasks I was going to perform. I was even in higher spirits in the first days of the summer, dreaming that I stuck to the whole schedule and became a super girl the next semester. But my ambition didn't stand the test of time. It was only a few days later that my attention was continually attracted by the Internet, novels, and shopping malls. Time flew surprisingly fast. When the vacation was already over, I realized in astonishment and despair that I had acted on only a half of my plan.
However, I am now consoling myself with the thought that it is human nature to have a rest after a long term's study; hence it is not realistic to keep working hard, even though the horrible Senior 3 was just around the corner. Therefore, I am satisfied. I am satisfied with my daily routine in which I spent an average 9 hours in sleeping, 2 hours in eating, 2 hours in surfing the Internet, 6 hours in doing some trivial things which I couldn't even remember, and the other 5 hours in studying. After all, I have done my possible. What is more, I did have a precious pause between the intense school days, and seized the last chance to relax in my senior life. So, this was a holiday combined with rest and work, wasn't it?

Most people would like to be popular with others, but not everyone can achieve this goal. What is the secret to popularity? In fact, it is very simple. The first step is to improve our appearance. We should always make sure that we stay in good shape and dress well. When we are healthy and well-groomed, we will not only look better but also feel better. In addition, we should smile and appear friendly. After all, our facial expression is an important part of our appearance. If we can do this, people will be attracted to our good looks and impressed by our confidence.
Another important step is developing more consideration for others. We should always put others first and place their interests before our own. It's also important to be good listeners; in this way people will feel comfortable enough to confide in us. However, no matter what we do, we must not gossip. Above all, we must remember to be ourselves, not phonies. Only by being sincere and respectful of others can we earn their respect. If we can do all of the above, I am sure popularity will come our way.

We've all been taught that we should help people. It is the right thing to do and will make us popular with others. It may even win us favors in return. However, we must be realistic. We can't say yes to every request. If we did, we would fail or go crazy for sure. Sometimes we simply don't have the time to help. In this case, we must know how to say no politely.
When we need to say no, here is one method we can try. First, we should tell the truth. If we really can't do something, we should just say so. Second, we should remember to refuse requests politely. We must communicate clearly, but must also be sincere and sympathetic. A true friend will understand. Finally, we must not feel guilty about saying no. Sometimes refusing others is the right thing to do. It can save ourselves, and them, a lot of trouble. In short, we cannot please everyone all the time. Refusing favors is a part of life.

Honorable Judges, fellow students: Recently, ther is a heated debate in our society. The college students are the beneficiaries of a rare privilege, who receive exceptional education at extraordinary places. But will we be able to face the challenge and support ourselves against all odds? Will we be able to better the lives of others? Will we be able to accept the responsibility of building the future of our country?
The cynics say the college students are the pampered lost generation, which would cringe at the slightest discomfort. But the cynics are wrong. The college students I see are eagerly learning about how to live independently. We help each other clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take part time jobs to supplement our pocket money.
The cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we neglect the need for character cultivation. But again, the cynics are wrong. We care deeply for each other, we cherish freedom, we treasure justice, and we seek truth. Last week, thousands of my fellow students had their blood type tested in order to make a contribution for the children who suffer from blood cancer.
As college students, we are adolescents at the critical turning point in our lives. We all face a fundamental choice: cynicism or faith, each will profoundly impact our future, or even the future of our country. I believe in all my fellow classmates. Though we are still inexperienced and even a little bit childish. I believe that we have the courage and faith to meet any challenge and take on our responsibilities. By saying “Rare as is true love, true friendship is rarer”, Jean de la Fontaine has pointed out the importance of friendship. Nowadays, it seems that people get closer to each other by means of the increasingly advanced communicating technologies, yet the closeness of hearts has in fact been distanced. Therefore, it is high time that we should attach great importance to maintain this precious sentiment.
Everyone need the warmth of friendship. In good times, friendship is flowers growing fast because we irritate it by sharing our joy and happiness; in adversity, friendship is a dose of consolation since friends are always there ready to help. Also, friendship is the effective lubricator for cooperative organizations, communities and different countries in the process of cooperation and development.
As friendship is so important in our life, actions should be taken to pursue and maintain it. And it involves trust and honesty in establishing and maintaining true friendship. Frankness and uprightness contribute to a good relationship. Moreover, tolerance and modesty also help promote the closeness of friends. Only by doing these things will we retain our friends and keep the lamp of friendship burning long.

When it comes to internet age, many thing goanna be changed, such as the ways to knowing news, the way to community, the way to shopping and so on, at the same time, it also changed every aspect of students’ college life.
Now, our college students have many ways to study except listen the teacher said, we can scan the knowledge on web, we can download the electronic edition of the textbook, if necessary, we even can listen other college’s teacher’s class on the internet. All of these depend on the development of internet; it makes our study in college more efficient, more interesting, and quick.
The internet brought us so many benefits, does it mans it haven’t any disadvantageExactly not, it is so obvious that so many college students have damage for it. There is a example, a seiner high school student was eolled by Tsinghua University in a high scores but after 1year he was dropped out by the university, whyThe reason is sample, after he stepped into college he began high on or suspected to addicted to web game, he started to be truant, violate the college rules, finally, he failed many courses, and the university didn’t forgive him anymore. There are lots of other stories like this one, because of internet, college students had to give up their college life. What makes these unhappy things happenedIn my opinion, the main reason is that under the Chinese education system, every student is strictly surprised by their parent’s, the teachers and school before college entrance examination, they have little freedom. After they go to the college, the parents left them alone, the teachers started to give them enough belief, so they can do everything they want include surfing the internet without control
Even so we still .shouldn’t give up our right study life, we shouldn’t forget the reason we spend extra 4 years in college: we need more useful knowledge, so that we can have a good job, a good future.
Internet is a rapier, it can help you gain more ,it also can make you lose more, it leys on what will you choose.

As a primary source of information as well as an efficient means of communication, the Internet offers people a colorful and convenientlife. Just by clicking the mouse, we can enjoy a brilliant and easy life that could not be achieved ever before: shopping, making friends, contacting relatives, looking for jobs, downloading music and movies, conducting business deals, and freely airing our opinions.
For its convenience, the Internet has attracted people like magnets and some people even claim that it is indispensable. To them, life can’t go on without it. Every day millions of people spend hours on end surfing the Internet. They are obsessed with it so much so that they forget many other important matters.
As far as I am concerned, I don’t approve of uestrained Internet reliance. Although the Internet is a gift of the technological revolution and a blessing of this information age, we should never let it control our life. The Internet absolutely doesn’t mean the whole world to us. Instead, we should guard against its negative effects. To those Internet addicts, I would add: “Self-control can make or break your life. With proper use, the Internet serves you; otherwise, it kills you.”

For ourselves, we should improve ourselves quality, enhance the ability to control, have a clear understanding of socialnetwork.

In recent years being a village official has become the first choice of many college students when they graduate and are trying to find a job. According to a report carried by The Chinese Education Daily the number of students who apply for the post increases at the annual rate of 20 percent in recent five years, which well justifies the popularity of becoming a village official among college students.
Several factors may account for this popularity. First, it is the fierce competition of job market that forces the college graduates to consider other alternatives other than staying in the big cities as they used to. Secondly, to encourage well-educated young talents to work in the rural areas, the government authorities have made some policies offering major incentives to college graduates who are willing to work for rural governments at grassroots level, especially for village committees. For example, those who work for a rural committee for at least three years after graduation can get a 10-point credit in their exams to enter graduate schools. The preferential treatment is appealing to many students. Last but not least, many students consider working as a village official is a rewarding opportunity. It will acquaint themselves with the very society of our country as well as improve their adaptability to different circumstances, both of which are believed to be beneficial to their future career.
In my opinion, college students working as a village official is worth promoting. It is possible that some graduates may use the job as “spring boards”: only applying for it in order to receive the favorable treatment, but the majority of them genuinely hope to serve the rural areas and better the life of the villagers. With the participation of so many college graduates, we have reasons to believe that it will not take too long to realize the blueprint of Constructing New Village

On Students Dealing in Stocks
When many people make a fortune in the stock market, a great number of university students follow their steps and get involved in dealing in stocks too. They deal in stocks in their free time, trying to earn some money and gain some experience in managing properties.
Most people accept this understandingly. They say dealing in stocks provides the students an opportunity to combine what they have learned in school with practice. However, there are also people who take a negative view on this. They argue that dealing in stocks will not only take much of the students" energy and time, but it will also make huge economic risks. When huge losses occur, they may lead to disastrous results.
As for me, I think university students must be discouraged to deal in stocks, since campus life is not yet ready for the turbulent stock market.
