How to adapt youself to college life

There are obvious differences between high school life and college life. First, college students will live in the dormitory with classmates who come from various places, and who may have different living habits. Second, college teachers ,instead of explaning in detail how to solve every problem, might only tell different approaches to the problem, and leave students to study and solve problems independently. Finally, in college, there is more free time for students to spend on.

However how should the college freshman adapt himself to these differeces. First of all, he should learn to be tolerant and consider more for others, which is necessary for group living. Moreover he should take active part in collective activities and make more communication with classmates and teachers. It will help he be smoothly integrated with your new environment. Besides,as to study,he should develop a good habit of self-teaching and learn to arrange study independently. Of course,it may take a freshman some while to become accustomed to the study and life in college. However, we all have to accept constant challenges of new things in our life. To conclude, college students should try to adapt himself to college life as soon as possible, so as to take full advantages of their precious college time.

In my understanding, if we refer to an ideal college life as a formal western dinner, then a high GPA, that is, Grade Point Average, should be the main course, while an active part in activities, together with associations, means the appetizer. Some romances, of course, play the role as desserts. They are the 3 key elements for an ideal college life.

Those, however, are not what college life is all about. As we all know, college is wildly different from middle school. It connects not only adolescence to adulthood, but also the ivory tower to the real society. Therefore, the ideal college life is that I become matured both physically and mentally, and that I obtain qualified academic knowledge and get well prepared for society at the same time.

Under this circumstance, I never expect my college life to be too ideal, or you can call it too perfect. It is not realistic to make all things on my own way, with everyone liking me, winning the first prize all the time, and so on. Of course, I’d like to lead a carefree life. However, this does little good to my future. What really helps is hardships like failure, betrayal, and unjust treatment. Only after experiencing those can I know what society is like, and what life is like.

To conclude my speech, I wanna say, some positive experiences are surely part of the ideal college life. But, I should not forget about the negative sides. They are not less necessary.

Should College Graduates Start Their Own Business?

Should College Graduates Start Their Own Business?

With the competition in the job market becoming increasingly fierce for college graduates, some ambitious students have tried their hands at launching their own businesses. Over the years, there have been many successful cases of student entrepreneurship and such attempts should be encouraged and promoted by both the universities and the society at large.

College students who start businesses are pioneers, among whom will be born China’s future business leaders. Faced with unknown challenges, they are audacious enough to embark on a perilous journey while most of their peers enjoy stable salaries by working as white-collars at high-end office buildings. Nevertheless, they are the masters of their own destiny and, exposed to many more uncertainties and setbacks, they develop perseverance, stamina and the indomitable spirit that are indispensible to all the great entrepreneurs. Even if they fail, they are not down; they keep exploring for new business opportunities and work tirelessly until they succeed. As people of vision, of individual initiative, of leadership, and of creativity and innovation, they represent the future and the hope of a nation.

Not all college graduates are suitable for undertaking entrepreneurial projects. To launch a business, one needs to have a sound business idea, a viable business plan, the charisma to create a cohesive team where members make concerted efforts for a common objective, effective managerial skills, and above all, the courage to compete against powerful rivals and ultimately to prevail. The essential difference between the students who become civic servants in government organizations or employees at leading domestic or multinational companies and those who create their own businesses is that the former are docile followers whereas the latter are aggressive trailblazers. For this reason, business-launching college graduates are more admirable, and thus they command our deep respect.

Currently, the frequent job-hopping of graduates has aroused wide concern among the public. Does anyone hold the same attitude toward this phenomenon? Definitely not. As to this issue, opinions vary from person to person.

Those who hold the opinion that job-hopping is beneficial to graduates claim that by doing so, the youngsters are more likely to have a better knowledge of (更了解)other fields and then to expand their horizons(開(kāi)闊視野). Moreover, changing jobs frequently offers workers a chance to move up to a better position(到更好的工作崗位). However, others take a totally different view that job-hopping is detrimental to ones career development. For one thing, as the common saying goes,a rolling stone gathers no moss. The more frequent you change your job, the less likely you are to be an expert in a particular area.(在某個(gè)特定的領(lǐng)域) Secondly, this behavior will leave on the employers an impression of (給雇主留下印象)instability and immaturity(不穩(wěn)定和不成熟). It is no wonder that ,when interviewing a candidate, a employer will raise a question (提問(wèn)) likeyouve changed jobs quite frequently. How do we know youll stay if we hire you?

Yesterday, Qiingdao University College of automation engineering, Qingdao Youth Volunteer Association jointly launched a dust motes do, love “ ” public welfare activities, I as a youth volunteer association had the honor to participate in the fund-raising activities. The fundraiser is to raise money to sell things, activities carried out in the center of Qiingdao University campus. YVA volunteers were divided into 6 groups, each group of 10 people in general, green campus everywhere can see the figure of the workers to raise money. To tell the truth, when I wear work clothes of the volunteer listed south, I feel very proud and proud, I suddenly feel more of a mission, feel that they can for the society, for others to contribute to a force.

Walk in the green campus, kind of schoolmates everywhere, whenever we say that after the event, senior students can show their love. In fact, in my opinion the sums does not matter, as long as the heart is enough. A small trickle of love can also gather freely like love. As the song says: “ as long as everyone gives a love, the world will become a beautiful world

I don't think it's necessarily a volunteer to be a volunteer, but not a volunteer. In my opinion, volunteering is just a term. Every one of us can do volunteer work anytime and anywhere in our daily life. For example: help the old to cross the road, pick up the fallen things for others, such as on the bus for the elderly seat, etc. and so on, as long as you are doing these things, you are a volunteer.

The most important thing to do as a volunteer is to have a heart, a heart that is willing to serve others and help others to solve the difficulties. Volunteers do not matter big or small points, the ancients said: do not be good for small and not for. And we do volunteer work is to small things on the line, do little things at all times, big event collective.

If we constantly through their own any behavior at any time to do their best to help others, to influence people, they participate in, to help t to others, we do volunteer work will be arriving.

Finally I wish Qiingdao University volunteer team more and more stronger.

Wish us Qiingdao University better and better

I wish the society more and more harmonious.

China has the largest population all over the world which makes it difficult to develop economy well. Thinking about Chinas economy development some hold the view that it is necessary for China to implement one child policy. While others think that one child policy does no good to childrens growing up. I am in favor of the latter opinion.

Firstly one child policy will make children feel lonely. It means every couple only has one child. We know clearly that there is not everything children are willing to tell their parents. Growing up with no brother or sister, the child may be easily in mental problem such as autism. In addition, parents with only one child will spoil their child overly. As a consequence the child will be the so called little emperor or little princess. When the child grows up it is difficult for the child to adapt to the world the society

All in all to some extent one child policy will solve the large population problem but from the perspective of long term development of china it does no good. Because we must take the young generations healthy growing up into consideration.

Every year, the magazine Fortune will publish the list of top 500 companies around the world. Since 1995, Walt-mart has been the winner for 11 times, what a surprise! Even its competitors change with the development of technology, Walt-mart is still the boss.

In the coming year of 20xx, the magazine publishes the new list of 500 companies. To everybody’s surprise, China has three companies in top 5, which makes us so proud. While when people look at the No.1, they see the familiar name, Walt-mart. Last year, the world’s economy did not go well and Walt-mart lost about 17 billion dollars, but it is still in the first place.

As the global super market, we can buy all the general things in Walt-mart. The most attractive thing is that the goods sold at very low price. So people like to go there and buy the necessary goods to prepare for their daily life in a short time. It is also a good place for the family to spend time together.

Walt-mart is always the winner. It takes the lead in all the market. Its success owes to the advanced selling idea.

Currently the ranking of colleges is very prevalent in China, fueled by parents who are eager to look for guidance and universities which spend lavishly to raise their standings.

But there has been much debate about the value of such rankings. Some experts speak highly of the rankings, noting that.the league tables are useful to college-bound students and their parents. The view is echoed by a 20xx study, which concludes that the rankings spur universities to do a better job of educating students. Others, however, cannot share this point of view. They dismiss the rankings as pointless, bluntly pointing out the dubious statistics used in the rankings. They think the very idea ridiculous that universities with very different cultures and programs can be compared.

As for me, I side with the former view. Though it is incredibly difficult to judge how well a university performs, it does not necessarily mean the panorama of a university is unavailable.

today, video games have become mroe and more popular among the students.

so im writing to tell you about the discussion weve had about whether students could play the video games.

70% ofthe students think the video games can have a bad influence on younger children。many video games are violent or about killing other players and they aer even worse than the violent films。if students play the video games, some of them will be addicted to the video games,so they will pay less attention to their studies or have no time to commuicate with others.

on the other hand, 30% believe that playing video games will help us to take a good knowledge of computer, then we will become more and more creative and quickly thinking。whats more, video games makes students brains relaed so they can study effective.

in my opinion, playing the video games is unstandable。but as middle school students, we should put all our into our studies.
