My new college life is going to start, so i cannot help feeling excited. How many times i have dreamed my beautiful and meaningful university life!
When my new life begin, i think the first thing i should do is to focus on my study. i will try my best to learn as many subjects as possible. besides, i think i will take part in some school activities to improve my comprehensive ability, such as communication ability and so on. At the same time, i am supposed to join some student unions or clubs to make my life colorful.
I know there are many differences between high schools and universities, so i will change my study habits. in high schools, it is the times of teachers forcing students to study, but in universities, we should arrange all the things by ourselves, so i will study by myself. i will make study plans such as time scheduel or something like that by myself.
of course, i will practice myself to be more independent. independence is a rather crutial ability for future development, so if there are any problems, i will do my best to solve it personally, and wont ask someone at first as before.
This is what i arrange for my new life, and hope it will start soon. i am ready for it!
Should cars be allowed into College Campus?
With the rapid development of our national economy, private cars have become in large number; of course, quite a few cars are heavily driven into College Campus.
In a significant way, these cars do not take up students places for study, but actually affect their daily life and study-- for instance, this crowd of cars may make noise and emit filthy gas to choke us to death. And the campus is jammed with lines of cars and seems to be parking lot instead of an academic institute. So cars have been strictly prohibited into many College Campuses. It seems that this is not convenience to some persons, indeed, but this is for the sake of our safety. Thus when someone enjoys convenience from modern tools, dont forget that it is dangerous to the students in the College Campus. Therefore, I agree that cars are not allowed into College Campus.
By and large, with the price of cars falling significantly, cars will enter average families, and most Chinese will enjoy a luxurious lifestyle in their life. However, they are still prohibited to drive their cars into College Campus, which , I think, is a hard truth in the eyes of most people.
Students all over the world have to work for their education. A college education in the United States is expensive. The costs are so high that most families begin to save for their children's education when their children are babies. Even so, many young people cannot afford to pay the ex-penses of full-time college work. They do not have enough money to pay for school costs. Tuition for attending university, books for classes, and living expenses are high. There are other expenses such as chemistry and biology laboratory fees and special student activity fees for such things as parking permits and football tickets. The cost of college education increases every year. However, classrooms are still crowded with students. Some American students have scholarships or other support, but many do not.
Students from other countries have money problems to overcome, too.Because students in most international programs need to have a sponsor (a person, organization, or Iocai government that pays for them), they work hard to earn scholarships or special loans.International students understand the value of going to school in another country. They also know that it is difficult.Yet just as Americans choose to attend American universities in spite of the difficulty, it is usually possible for students from abroad to work on university campuses to pay for some of the cost of their education. Some people believe that students value their education more if they work for it.

With the progress of society, some people argue that the courses in universities should be changed into morepractical. In order to help students find good jobs after graduate, schoolshould adjust the real demand of working position and practical skills shouldbe emphasized. It receives lot of agreements the moment it is proposed. Thereasons are as follows.
On the one hand, thetraditional university courses are too theoretical. The traditional courses aretending to help people learn more knowledge in the book, because the ancientsdo not want to see their theory lost. So, students often learn lots of theoryin university, while most of them are not useful in their real workingposition, because they don’t have practical meaning.
On the other hand, practicalcourses are helpful in students’ real working position. If students can havemore practical courses, they must be more skilled when they are working. Afterall, there is a famous saying,” practice makes perfect.” Since they have learnedit in school, how can they not do well in real life? Practice plays animportant role in people’s job success.
To sum up, for the sake ofstudents’ future, I think major in university should be more practical. But thecourses should not only focus on practical knowledge. Apart from being aspringboard for a better job, university education has many importantfunctions.
