大學(xué)英語(yǔ)六級(jí)作文 篇1
Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write an essay commenting on the saying “The decisions that people make quickly are always wrong.” You can give an example or two to illustrate your point of view. You should write at least 150 words but no more than 200 words.
參考范文:
Not all the decisions made quickly are wrong
From my perspective, the rush decision may be wrong if it was made when we were in great anger or when wer were tempted by something. However, some decisions can be made instantly. We make decisions every day, and not every decision is so important that it needs our careful thought. For example, many white-collar workers go out to have lunch every weekday. Obviously, that simple decision does not need ten minutes to consider gains and losses. In some situations, there is not so much time for us to think twice, because the chance may be lost in any minute when we hesitate. For example, someone fells into the river and is drowning. In this case, most people will try to rescue the drowning one without delay. Another case is that sometimes we need to make quick decisions to grasp opportunities. As can be seen, the decisions that people make quickly are not always wrong, especially when we should follow our instinct in certain situations, such as emergencies and once in a lifetime chances.

參考范文:My View on Major Ranking
In recent years, it is very popular to rank majors. Major ranking lists based on a variety of criteria can be found on some educational websites or newspapers. These lists have great influence on students and many of them have come to rely on these lists to make their major-choice decisions.
To this phenomenon, people’s opinions vary from each other. Some think that the results of the ranking are helpful for high school students to choose a major field of study, e.g., some lists tell people what majors will lead to decent jobs after graduation. Some people, however, believe that many lists are actually useless. Rankings are only about numbers and they do not tell you anything about the distinct nature of the major. Besides, some majors may be listed as hot majors when students enter colleges, but will be unpopular when they graduate.
As far as I’m concerned, we should not over-stress major ranking. It should be remembered that rankings can play a big role in the selection of a major but it should not be the only criterion. Many factors including your own perception of the major should matter in your final choice.

Should College Students Live Alone off Campus or Living with Roommates on Campus?
As adults, college students are responsible individuals capable of sensible and independent judgments and decisions。 Living on or off campus is really a matter of personal choice and different students can make their decisions that best accord with their individual needs。
Over the years, as many Chinese families become financially well—off, they can afford their sons and daughters better—equipped apartments off campus。 In the rented accommodation, a student enjoys greater personal freedoma more tranquil environment in which they can concentrate on their studies and greater privacy with which they can associate with their friends, including their boyfriends or girlfriends。 Those are all unalienable human rights guaranteed by the Constitution。 As long as those students behave within legal boundaries and their off—campus life does not affect their academic performance as students, there is no reason why college students should not live off campus。
However, living off campus does pose problems。 A student living alone may incur greater personal risks。 With less time to mix with classmates, he or she will be less competent as a team player。 Having to spend much time traveling to the campus, the student will have serious challenges to be punctual for classes。 Finally, without their independent income, most students will certainly increase financial burdens on their parents。 Therefore, any students with serious intentions to live off campus should really have serious thoughts about those issues before they actually make their choices。

Views on college students credit card consumptions
Nowadays, it is becoming commonplace that many college students pay by credit card while shopping. And advanced consumptions has become a fashion among youngsters.
There are many pros and cons about credit card used by college students. Some people are in favor of the credit card consumptions, pointing out the fact that it is a more convenient and safe way compared with the traditional way of paying by cash, which is easy to lose and not environmentally friendly. While others argue that college students are too young to use credit card rationally. They are more likely to spend money recklessly without considering whether they have capability to return it on time. What’s worse, those who cannot control their desire to consume will end up involving in financial crisis and damaged personal credit.
From my point of view, though credit card indeed brings a lot of convenience to our life and changes the way of consumptions, we should always keep a sober mind and utilize it properly.
