Back in the years when I was only six years old or so, I had my first taste of English. It seemed very strange to me. At the very beginning, I was not so interested in this strange language. Moreover, the English TV program always took time away from my cartoon shows. As a result, I started to hate English.
Time flies. Things completely changed at the end of my primary ['praim?ri] school life.
In the last exam of the whole primary school period, I did so well in English that I got a full mark. I found that I could do a perfect job in English if I put my heart on it. Its one of the best primary schools in my city. There are more than 1,500 students in our school. There are three tall buildings in our school. They all have five floors.Two of them are teaching buildings. The other is library and gym. The teaching buildings are huge and the classroom is large and bright. There are plenty of books in the library.The library is on the second floor. The science rooms are on the third floor. The computer rooms are on the third floor and the fourth floor. In another building,the P.E.room is on the first floor. The music rooms are on the third floor and the fourth floor. My class room is on the fifth floor. I am in Class five， Grade five.
There are five gardens in our school. In the gardens there are many beautiful flowers，grass and trees. There is a big playground in my school.
I usually get up at 6:15 in the morning. Then I do morning exercises in the playground. At 6:40, I have my breakfast. You can see many students and teachers in the dinning room. After breakfast, I often read English with my classmates.
We have six classes every day. The first class begins at 7:50 am. I like all the classes for my teachers can make the classes lively and interesting.My favorite subject is English, so I join English Corner every week. I can speak English with many other students there. Its very interesting and exciting. I think its helpful for me to learn English well. After class, I always play games with my friends. We play soccer ball,basketball, volleyball, ping-pong and so on. They are very relaxing.
The teachers in my school are very kind . The students are very polite and smart. I am happy in my school.

The cheongsam is a female dress with distinctive Chinese features and enjoys a growing popularity in the international world of high fashion.
The name "cheongsam," meaning simply "long dress," entered the English vocabulary from the dialect of China's Guangdong Province (Cantonese). In other parts of the country including Beijing, however, it is known as "qipao", which has a history behind it.
When the early Manchu rulers came to China proper, they organized certain people, mainly Manchus, into "banners" (qi) and called them "banner people" (qiren), which then became loosely the name of all Manchus. The Manchu women wore normally a one-piece dress which, likewise, came to be called "qipao" or "banner dress." Although the 1911 Revolution toppled the rule of the Qing (Manchu) Dynasty, the female dress survived the political change and, with later improvements, has become the traditional dress for Chinese women.
Easy to slip on and comfortable to wear, the cheongsam fits well the female Chinese figure. Its neck is high, collar closed, and its sleeves may be either short, medium or full length, depending on season and taste. The dress is buttoned on the right side, with a loose chest, a fitting waist, and slits up from the sides, all of which combine to set off the beauty of the female shape.
The cheongsam is not too complicated to make. Nor does it call for too much material, for there are no accessories like belts, scarves, sashes or frills to go with it.
Another beauty of the cheongsam is that, made of different materials and to varying lengths, they can be worn either on casual or formal occasions. In either case, it creates an impression of simple and quiet charm, elegance and neatness. No wonder it is so much liked by women not only of China but of foreign countries as well.
