on my birthday two years ago, many special things happened on me. and i would remember them forever.
that morning, i rode my bike to school happily as usual. on my way to theclassroom, i saw some of my classmates. but when they saw me, they rushed away. that made me confused. because they would talk to me or play jokes on me before. but it was strange today.
when i came into the classroom, i found the atmosphere was quite strange.
everybody looked at me and laughed loudly. suddenly they all said in good order,“happy birthday to you!” then they began to sing “happy birthday to you——” that made me moved. i never told anyone about my birthday, how did they know? i believed they must have done a lot of things. at that moment, i found nothing to say but thanks instead!
after school, a thing ing as a surprise happened on me on my way back home. when i was riding suddenly a crowed of people rushed out to stopped my bike.i recogized them at once. they were my senior classmates. they all lained to me,“why don't you tell us about your birthday? don't you fear that we will let you stand treat? this time you owe us.” then each of them gave a gift and a card with best wishes to me. i was deeply moved again. i suggested having a dinner together. but they all refused because of the time. then they left me saying we would ask you to pay us another day!
when i got back home, i thought of everything happened today. suddenly i felt so happy because i had such great friends around me. i thanked them from the bottom of my heart. i would value the precious friendship forever!
i have so many feelings through that special day. the only rose without thorns in the world is friendship. a true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart. truly great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave, and impossible to forget. one friend in a lifetime is much, two are many, three are hardly possible. stick to make friends, for life without friends is like life on a desert island. to find one real friend in a lifetime is good fortune, to keep him is a blessing.

When I saw this title , I felt a little nervous, if I could expound this topic for you clearly, maybe my wisdom was enough to help me write a masterpiece in every field. Unfortunately , I cannot. And fortunately, in less than 3 minutes will you know my ideas.
I think the most unbelievable news in the last century is we are genetically 99.9% the same. Do you feel a little excited, now? I did, when I first time heard it from the radio. And suddenly realized that we are born to be the same. This eye-catching news approved what we called “global village”, and then told us we are born with a “global citizenship” just like with the character.
However, same to the character, global citizenship is not only accepted by oneself ,but also by others. As traditional Chinese saying goes, “thousands of miles should begin at first step”. Only if we have a good beginning at home ― step first we firmly stepped, it would be easy for other global citizens to admit us .
But you may feel a little bored to listen to my lecture and ask “what do you really want us to know?”
So let’s pay attention to our motherland. China has set us good examples to favor the title “global citizenship begins at home”. More than a hundred years ago, when the old Chinese government limited economic growth and lock his doors against the world. He missed the best opportunity to develop himself. He abandoned home, but was eager for an absolute global citizenship. He wanted to ignore the first step but jump far. Let alone other countries with an ulterior motive, I cannot agree. in addition, after the high school entrance examination, keeping a good lift attitude is very important. having experienced so stressful study for a long time, some students start to indulge themselves. some may be very lazy and some may do some crazy things to relax. however, it turns out that their behavior will ruin themselves at last. if they have a good life attitude, they would relax themselves in a proper way not excessive.

We've grown used to wonders in this century. It's hard to dazzle us. But for twenty-five years the United States space program has been doing just that. We've grown used to the idea of space, and, perhaps we forget that we've only just begun. We're still pioneers. They, the members of the Challenger crew, were pioneers.
And I want to say something to the schoolchildren of America who were watching the live coverage of the shuttle's take-off. I know it's hard to understand, but sometimes painful things like this happen. It's all part of the process of exploration and discovery. It's all part of taking a chance and expanding man's horizons. The future doesn't belong to the fainthearted; it belongs to the brave. The Challenger crew was pulling us into the future, and we'll continue to follow them.
I've always had great faith in and respect for our space program. And what happened today does nothing to diminish it. We don't hide our space program. We don't keep secrets and cover things up. We do it all up front and in public. That's the way freedom is, and we wouldn't change it for a minute.
We'll continue our quest in space. There will be more shuttle flights and more shuttle crews and, yes, more volunteers, more civilians, more teachers in space. Nothing ends here; our hopes and our journeys continue.
I want to add that I wish I could talk to every man and woman who works for NASA, or who worked on this mission and tell them: ”Your dedication and professionalism have moved and impressed us for decades. And we know of your anguish. We share it.“
There's a coincidence today. On this day three hundred and ninety years ago, the great explorer Sir Francis Drake died aboard ship off the coast of Panama. In his lifetime the great frontiers were the oceans, and a historian later said, ”He lived by the sea, died on it, and was buried in it.“ Well, today, we can say of the Challenger crew: Their dedication was, like Drake's, complete.
The crew of the space shuttle Challenger honored us by the manner in which they lived their lives. We will never forget them, nor the last time we saw them, this morning, as they prepared for their journey and waved goodbye and ”slipped the surly bonds of earth“ to ”touch the face of God.“

We appreciate all the prosperity from the development of modern industry, yet few would give the slightest consideration to the global air and water pollution caused by industrial wastes. Our ruthless exploitation has permanently impaired our mother earth. As we tragically learned from last summer's floods. we cannot continue our carelessness.
Finally, standing here at the threshold of the 21st century, we cannot help thinking of our posterity. Nature is not only the mother of the present generation, but also the mother of the generations to come. How severely our descendents will criticize us if we leave them a barren and lifeless mother? How much more they will appreciate us if we give them a world of harmony to inherit? Let us start respecting and caring for nature from now on. Let us start the campaign of creating a mutually beneficial relationship between people and nature right from this moment. With this new start, I firmly believe, that our children, and our children's children will live in a brand new age of green trees, clean air, crystal water, blue sky and an even more promising world!

I am proud of being a college student. I like my college life as it is so wonderful time in my youth. As being born in small village of the remote countryside, I didn't have a good education environment.

All people were proud of me, as I was the first college student in my village. I was farewell warmly by them when I came to school. I was warmly wele by school, too. After then, I’ve felt my study is not only for myself but also for the honor of my village neighborhood and our school.
The college life is wonderful. All life in school are fresh. New teachers, new classmates and fresh friends are around me. I’ve felt their friendship, wide knowledge and opening mind. The grand library, school buildings and wide playground are very attracting to me. I am very eager to learn much knowledge quickly. In high school, I was ever called as a runner before time. Now,I know I am behind time so much in fact. I hope to catch up with the time by my hard studying. Every day, you can see me get up early, doing exercise hard and go to school the first one.
At night, I am the one who leaves away the library. The most interesting thing is that I can’t speak the PUTONGHUA well and made many funny events at the beginning, as I am from South. When I entered the classroom at first time, I was headache as I couldn’t understand what the professor was speaking.
I met much difficulties at math, physics and other courses, even though I used to be good at these sciences. Therefore, I learn these courses myself after class. After three months, the exmination indicated that I overcame all the difficlties.
I also improved my listening and spoken ability of Chinese quickly. Communication is very important to my college life. I study English hard as well. It makes me have many chances to municate with foreigners. I made friends with many foreign teachers and students. From them, I learn many knowledge about foreign cultures. The puter room is another place I like to staying. I contact the outside world by the internet.

and now i have been here two years. recalling to the two years, i think i have to talk about one thing--learning. learn how to study independently, learn how to get along with others, learn to love, learn to… oh, there are too much things we have to learn.

But over the years,nuclear power has found its way to promote goodness for humankind.It promises to provide clean and efficient energy for the centuries to come.

There is no firm answer for this question from my own perspective.
Ladies and gentlemen, my very initial contact with nuclear power was from a TV program called Green Space where I saw for the first time how nuclear power had changed people's lives and what it had left for the residents'living around Chernobyl nuclear power plant.Unfortunately,It was a sad story.
My heart sank when I saw a boy infant appear on the screen smiling with big blue sparkling eyes.He was so cute and adorable just like all the other kids but he was blinded.What's more,he had to receive medical treatment every day to alleviate radiation damage,but still stood little chance of growing up.Later I learned that inappropriate operation and equipment design defect was responsible for the tragedy.Eight years have past, but the picture of that boy's smile still appears in front of me and reminds me that nuclear power can be a living devil.
However,with the increasing depletion of resources and the instant demand for energy,clean and efficient nuclear power may seem the best choice.
As an old saying goes'every sword hastwo blades.'Nuclear power is dangerous,yet efficient;environmental devastated yet clean;expensive yet sustainable.It is a matter of how we use and how we treat it.While let's beyond all this,whether nuclear power a blessing or a disaster,it's our choice.
