If ever two were one, then surely we.
If ever man were lov’d by wife, then thee;
If ever wife was happy in a man,Compare with me ye momen if you can.
I prize thy love more than whole Mines of gold,Or all the riches that the East doth hold.
My love is such that Rivers cannot quench,Nor ought but love from thee, give recompence.
Thy love is such I can no way repay,The heavens reward thee manifold I pray.
Then while we live, in love lets so persever,That when we live no more, we may live ever.
My love is like to ice, and I to fire;
How comes it then that this her cold so great
Is not dissolved through my so hot desire,But harder grows the more I her entreat!
Or how comes it that my exceeding heat
Is not delayed by her heart-frozen cold;
But that I burn much more in boiling sweat,And feel my flames augmented manifold!
What more miraculous thing may be told,That fire, which all things melts, should harden ice;
And ice, which is congealed with senseless cold,Should kindle fire by wonderful device!
Such is the power of love in gentle mind,That it can alter all the course of kind.
Because the king
decrees that every Jew
must buy his wedding-right
in unsold porcelain
from the royal chinaworks,
here he stands, an amorous Jew,
gazing at luminous
suns and moons arrayed
on doths of velvet-blue,
earth that has married fire twice,
that has been shaped and named
for what it comprehends: sherbets, salads,
gravies, desserts. He lifts a platter fine
as alabaster in cathedral windows:
salvation, the passage of light
through bone. Ah, but
not for you, the store-man says.
Closeted, in shipping crates
are pieces no one else will buy
baboon fops in feathered caps,
chimpanzees in petticoats.
Visitors will later testify,
his home was comfortable,
despite the china apes
peering from every corner.
Camma
(To Ellen Terry)
As one who poring on a Grecian urn
Scans the fair shapes some Attic hand hath made,
God with slim goddess, goodly man with maid,
And for their beautys sake is loth to turn
And face the obvious day, must I not yearn
For many a secret moon of indolent bliss,
When in midmost shrine of Artemis
I see thee standing, antique-limbed, and stern?
And yet - methinks Id rather see thee play
That serpent of old Nile, whose witchery
Made Emperors drunken, - come, great Egypt, shake
Our stage with all thy mimic pageants! Nay,
I am grown sick of unreal passions, make
The world thine Actium, me thine Anthony!

On Joy and Sorrow
then a woman said, “speak to us of joy and sorrow.”
and he answered: your joy is your sorrow unmasked.
and the selfsame well from
which your laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears.
and how else can it be?
the deeper that sorrow carves into your being.
the more joy you can contain.
is not the cup that hold your wine the very cup
that was burned in the potter’s oven?
and is not the lute that soothes your spirit, the very wood that was hollowed with knives?
when you are joyous, look deep into your heart and
you shall find it is only that which has given
you sorrow that is giving you joy.
when you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for
that which has been your delight.
some of you say, “nay, sorrow is the greater.”
but i say unto you, they are inseparable.
together they come, and when one sits alone with you at your board, remember that the other is asleep upon your bed.
verily you are suspended like scales
between your sorrow and your joy.
only when you are empty are you at standstill and balanced.
when the treasure-keeper lifts you to weigh
his gold and his silver, needs must your
joy or your sorrow rise or fall.
I have been here before,
But when or how I cannot tell:
I know the grass beyond the door,
The sweet keen smell,
The sighing sound, the lights around the shore.
You have been mine before,
How long ago I may not know:
But just when at that swallow’s soar
Your neck turned so,
Some veil did fall, --- I knew it all of yore.
Has this been thus before?
And shall not thus time’s eddying flight
Still with our lives our love restore
In death’s despite,
And day and night yield one delight once more?

How many tragedies frequently staged
Numerous iron facts tell us that

I am a fish, swimming in the deep sea, following the air bubbles
to search for your message.
I have a wish,to look for your soul and your body.
I am a fish, swimming in the sea quietly, where to go,to find your vestige.
I swim to the south sadly, thinking you are there, living happily.
I have no ability
to change you and the death.
I swim and swim, like you disappearing slowly.
See it in the colors of autumn,
A gentle snowfall in winter,
A sudden shower in spring,
The radiance of a summer day.
Behold it in the laughter Of the young and the old.
Know of it in a surge of hope,
The blessings that are bountiful.
What is life?
It is joy,awareness,
And the music within.

It Takes More Than Blood
It takes more than blood to be a dad.
Oh this is surely a proven fact.
Ive seen men give his heart to a child ...
Never once think of taking it back.
A Dad is the one who is always there;
He protects a child from all harm.
He gives a child the assurance that he
will be their anchor in any storm.
A real Dad is a man that teaches his child
all the things in life he needs to know.
Hes the tower of strength a child leans on.
The source of love that helps them grow.
There are men that children call Daddy.
Oh, he is their shelter when it rains.
He showers them with unconditional love.
As if it were his blood in their veins.
Whenever you meet a Dad that redefines the word,
honor him with all the respect that is due.
Understand that he proudly wears this banner ...
Because his heart is big enough for you.
Its sad but true that not all men understand
it takes more than blood to be a dad.
Someday if they wake up to their empty life ...
They shall miss what they could have had.
To those men who will never be a dad ...
No matter what they say or do.
It takes more than blood to possess that title ...
And its only found in a man like you.
Time flies, now Ive been a grade 6 pupil in Gongnong Primary School.
During the past years, many changes happened.
The old houses have been changed into new tall buildings; the playground is so clean; the walls of the classroom are so white; we even have teaching equipment like TVs, computers and so on.
My primary school life will be over, I am so sad to leave my dear school.
I cant forget the flat playground, because its full of our singing and dancing.
I cant forget the blackboard, because it recorded our studying process.
I cant forget the red flag, because it was raised by our hands again and again.
I cant forget our dear teachers, because they taught me a lot.
Gongnong Primary School- I spent a happy childhood here!
Thank you! I love you forever!

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care
With thoughts of St. Nicholas and what hed bring there.
The children were nestled all snug in their beds
Without a moment of bowing their heads.
The scriptures were thrown on the shelves without care.
Little hope of remembering the precious words there.
And I with the tinsel and Ma with the lights
Had prepared for Christmas with no thoughts of Christ.
We had snowmen and elves and of course Santa Claus.
We thought we had decorated without any flaws.
For weeks wed prepared with lots of traditions,Cards of course and so much work in the kitchen.
Wed been to parties galore all dressed up in frills
And spent hours at stores to get the best deals.
The lights on the house were all flashing with fun
Lots of presents under the tree; we thought we were done.
We thought not of the needy, nor help to a stranger,We thought not of the poor, and not of a manger.
No angels were singing in our house that night
We hadnt invited them so none were in sight.
The real spirit of Christmas was absent as well.
For only Christs spirit will make our hearts swell.
And I wondered that Christmas how it could be
That the Christmas spirit wasnt stronger in me
Why Christmas didnt seem as it was in the past
Why Christmas just came and went by very fast.
When out of my wondering mind did appear.
Some scriptures Id learned as a child so dear.
Of a loving kind Father who gave His own Son
God saw all our needs and chose Christ as the one.
Christ has the power to serve us so well
Healing the things that can lead to spiritual jail
I could change if I wanted with eyes that could see
"Come Follow Me," was His only plea.
I decided to change and begged forgiveness please
And asked how to serve Him while down on my knees
Serve others and do it as if unto Him
Was the answer I heard in the sound of a hymn
I rushed from my bed and I got scriptures for all.
So we could start Christmas just right after all.
So Christmas day we planed for the months yet to come
Of people wed serve and we talked of the fun
Now Angels are singing in our home today
We finally invited them to come our way.
And Christmas is lasting the whole long year through,With scriptures, prayer and devotion His spirit grew.
